Generally you should have your floor waxed no more than once every six months and no less than every 24 months. Most floors are waxed every 12 to 18 months. The IBM floor team is completely trained and equipped for scrubbing, stripping, and waxing all types of floor to your full satisfaction.

Our Procedures for Stripping & Waxing Floors

Applying a wax or finish to the floor creates a glossy, protective layer that
keeps your floor clean, shiny, and free of scratches, black marks, and stains.
From time to time, these wax layers wear down or change color to a dark yellow or so, and need to be removed before a new layer of wax can be reapplied.

• Removing  all necessary materials and furniture from the floor
• Securing the area with appropriate signs in front of each entrance
• Sweeping all floor areas that need to be waxed
• Stripping and scrubbing the floor and cleaning all corners, edges, and baseboards to remove all old layers of wax
• Mopping the floors a few times to be sure that all old wax is removed and cleaned from the floor
• Waiting to make sure that the floor is completely dry
• Applying 3 – 5 coats of new, fresh wax and waiting at least about 40 min to 1 hour between the layers.

After applying all wax layers, we wait until the last layer is completely dry, then we move all materials and furniture to the same place and remove all signs from that area.
